What we're doing to protect employees and customers from COVID-19
As of March 20, 2020, Humboldt County is under a "shelter in place" order, requiring residents to stay at home at all times, except for very specific allowable circumstances.
However, as an electrical services company, Greenwired qualifies as an Essential Business and will continue to be available to our customers and community. In order to protect employees and customers, as well as staying in compliance with the order, we are adjusting our business policies.
While our shop is closed to general traffic, and most of our team is working remotely, we ARE available by phone for any questions, issues, or needs that you may have. Please leave a detailed message and an associate will get back to you as quickly as possible.
Shop Services - Sales and Repairs;
If you need to purchase supplies or arrange repairs, we ask that you call the shop to discuss what you need.
- When your items are ready for pickup, we'll either schedule a time for you to pick them up, or ask that you call us when you arrive outside the store. Either way, once you're here we will arrange for "curbside" pickup.
- You may also designate an authorized pick-up person, particularly if you are high-risk, feeling sick, or have been exposed to someone who has been ill.
- We can take credit / debit card payment over the phone, via PayPal, or by mail (please note, purchases must be paid for before pickup).
- Payment can also be made via credit / debit card upon pickup. We are also set up to take cash, but prefer other forms of payment when possible (cash is dirty folks, wash your hands!)
Hey folks, we've seen quite the flurry of action at our retail shop from people coming in for batteries and essential supplies during this semi-quarantine. While we're grateful to be able to stay open to support our customers, we do ask that you help us keep our employees (and you!) safe by following the below protocols;
🖖 Maintain proper social distance at all times (Noah will be taping off sections of the store to indicate "safe zones")
☎️ If you need to discuss systems / issues / etc, PLEASE CALL US. You can keep yourself (and our employees) safe by minimizing in-person interaction... you can also save yourself a trip by making sure we have what you need in stock.
💨 If for any reason you HAVE to discuss something in person, we encourage you to have those discussions outside the warehouse door (weather permitting) - airflow helps protect us all from the virus.
🚶♂️ If you need to come in the shop to pay, we ask that you go around the building to get from the warehouse to the shop (or vice versa) rather than walking through the space.
😷 Matty is working on getting a plexiglass "sneeze guard" for the shop counter... until that time, we ask that you join us in practicing the COVID Salsa 🕺 our employees will step back from the counter to allow you to place payment on the counter, after which you will need to step back to allow them to process payment. If you need change, the employee will place it on the counter and step back to allow you to come forward and collect it. (As ridiculous as it may seem, this stuff CAN keep us all much safer)
👨🔬 Our employees will also be sterilizing the counter after each customer transaction
And of course, if you feel like you might be getting sick, STAY HOME. If someone you've been in contact with starts to show symptoms, STAY HOME.
We know these are difficult times, and the steps necessary to keep everyone safe can seem a little tedious... but we all know someone at high risk, and helping each other stay safe will quite literally save lives 🚑
